How Long Will You Live?

Hey My Friends,

Hope each of you are doing well and having a great week!

I wanted to share something quickly and not writing much today.

Today I take my last round of chemotherapy. This will be my 12th month of chemo and I am so ready to be done. I continue to learn some very important life lessons from this experience. Here are a couple of those that have been very important to me.

1) I did not think I would be here today! When I first found out about this type of brain tumor, the main thing was, “its terminal and most men and women die quickly.” I was always expecting to be around for many years and eventually die an old man. I did not like my diagnosis and I also knew we typically never get to decide when we will die!!

2) I also have learned, “no one knows when their life will be over.” That is true and it has taught me in a very personal way this. I have today, so how will I choose to live my life today!!

I have not been perfect with this. I am very committed to continue working at it. My life matters and so does yours. I want to notice the world around me, make a little difference each time I get the chance. I want to love my wife, children and family well. I want to love and encourage the friends I have in my life. I want to walk through nature and be reminded of a good and gracious God.

I don’t know how long I will be around. But the days I have left, I want to engage, love and make a little difference in the world around me!!!!

It’s my choice! What about you. How are you going to choose to live your life?

Never forget, You Are Loved And Of Great Value!
