Podcast Are My Jam!

Hello all!

Michael here again (Todd’s oldest). If you know my dad, you know he’s probably listened to more podcast than you. I think it was around 10 years ago that he introduced me to podcast and he’s never looked back. He simply loves them. I think it’s in part because he is a life long learner & podcast are a fantastic way to learn on the go. Back in the early 2000’s if you caught my dad at a traffic light, the odds were high that he’d be jamming out to U2 or Coldplay through the speakers. Nowadays, you would see him with headphones pondering whatever podcast he was into that day. When I talk to my dad on the phone, which is often, we will usually discuss ideas or thoughts from the podcasts we mutually enjoy. It’s one of my favorite parts of my relationship with him.

A few weeks ago before my dad had surgery, I had the privilege of having him on as a guest of the podcast I am a producer for. It’s called Convos with Clay. I know I am a little biased, but I thought the wisdom and insights my dad shared in the episode were invaluable.

The podcast is a great gem for our family to have and listen back to for years to come. Just like this blog will be. My wife Kimberly and I had our first son a little over a month ago (I think he’s made an appearance on the blog before ;). It’s a joy to think about Liam getting to listen to this podcast episode in 10,15 or 20 years from now. Because of the success of my dads recent surgery, we are praying and believing he will be able to sit with Liam and listen to the episode together some day!

Anyways, all that to say – if you enjoy the wisdom my dad shares in this blog, then you will love what he has to say in the podcast. You can listen to it on Apple Podcast, Spotify, or anywhere else you listen to podcast (Just click the link to listen).

Also – as you can imagine the recovery from his brain surgery has been tough. Could you do 3 things that would be a massive blessing to him and our family?

  1. Listen to the podcast episode! The reason he did it was so that he could share his wisdom and lessons learned to hopefully help someone else in their journey.

  2. Share the episode with one person after you listen to it who think would get value from it.

  3. Leave a comment on this post sharing one thing you appreciate or admire about my dad. He will actually hate that I asked you to do that … But that’s what he gets for giving me his password, ha!

It’s been humbling to see how the faithful step of one man sharing his journey has come to impact 10’s of thousands of people through this blog. I know God is not done with him yet and this journey is just the being. Thanks for being a part of it, it means the world to us.

As dad would say … You are valuable. You are loved. You matter.

PEACE
